I HATE inconsiderate people. If you are a doctorate student and it's midterms week and u walk into a lounge area full of other students furiously reading their notes in silence...OBVIOUSLY sitting down and chit chatting for the next thirty minutes is NOT very nice. Especially when there are plenty of tables outside in the nice weather, other lounge areas, and an entire cafe full of chatty tables. It is in no way inconvenient to be considerate and walk 10 steps to a more appropriate place out of ear shot. Am I alone in this thought process? Is it a southern thing? What is the deal?!?
And another thing, for goodness sake turn off your windshield wipers at the drive thru window! Would you want to have water constantly slung in your face?

How does this thing work?
Hey everybody! This is my first official blog post so I am just getting the hang of this thing.
I am currently in the aftermath of my annual Boneyard Bash, you may have seen pics on my friend's blog (lifeofabamagirl.com). Why is it SO much more fun to plan, decorate, cook for and enjoy a party than it is to clean it all up??? I sure wish there were little elves or something to clean it up while you sleep! But, since I haven't found any of those...guess it's just me and my rubber gloves. As usual I made way too much food, all yummy of course, and had too much punch, also delicious, and have so many drinks left over that I could throw another party tonight and not buy a thing! I guess I follow my mom's two favorite mottos: "Go big or go home" and "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it". It's a good thing I only do this once or twice a year or I would go broke. I just can't help but go over the top. This year the menu included Rotel dip, cocktail weenies, hot spinach dip, taco nacho dip, mini biscuit pizzas, Oreo eyeballs, and bleeding bone cookies. I also made a new punch this year that I'm gonna call wine punch. It's basically one 2 Liter of Gingerale for every two bottles of Moscato with some frozen fruit to keep it cold and make it pretty! It's so good that even the guys couldn't get enough of the girly concoction!
There's just nothing like food, friends and fun times! (even if you have to do all the cleaning!)
